Text 2 Lovers is a romantic comedy filled with a lot of wit and charm, sass and sarcasm. I had a smile on my face throughout this whole story. Many laugh out loud moments. I loved how easy it was for me to relate and connect with the characters. These ladies did a wonderful job with character development. The characters had a lot of depth to them. They showed a lot of growth by the end of story. Even the secondary characters. This story, I was able to read through Dani's and Ram's POV. I was able to learn so much from them. Truly understand how they felt and why they felt that way. I was able to connect with them on a deeper level because of that.
Dani and Ram meet through some hilarious, mean text messages. She was so drunk, that she sent them to Ram instead of her cheating ex-boyfriend. And boy, does she let him have it! Once she realized what happened, she felt awful and let him know. Even after everything that went down, these two continued to text and became friends. Then, they slowly became more. The sexual chemistry was hot and heavy with these two. You could feel it before they even meet. When they finally meet by accident, everything became real for the both of them.
I connected so much with Dani in this story. She was a goodie goodie. Hated confrontation and constantly let everyone walk all over her. She couldn't tell anyone no. Ram and Andi were always there for her. Helping her see what a strong individual she could be. I loved the scenes where they kept teaching her how to say no. That was so funny! Since Dani and Ram love The Princess Bride, Ram has given Dani the nickname Buttercup since he had no clue what her name was. I loved that nickname for her and she did too. Dani has one thing she doesn't like and that is lies. That is one thing she will not tolerate in a relationship.Will Ram's secrets destroy what they have?
Ram is one of those hot, sexy nerd types. I couldn't help but love him. He worked at the same company his brother does, but unfortunately got fired by his own brother for something he didn't even do. After what happened to his father, Ram went into severe depression. Getting fired sent him right back into that. Dani pulled him out of that. Those text messages were the first thing in a long time to put a smile on his face. She pulled him out of his deeper, darker times. Ram keeps secrets though. And Dani doesn't tolerate lies.
Roman and Andi were absolutely hilarious!!! They are a match-made in heaven!! I loved their relationship if you even want to call it that. All they did was throw insults and jokes at each other. The mom jokes had me laughing so much!! These two couldn't even go out and eat together with their friends without doing the mom jokes. But the chemistry and sexual tension between these two was hot and heavy. You could feel it.
I was completely shocked with what happened at the end!!! OMG!!! And who it happened to!!! Eeekkkk!!! Now I definitely need book 2!!!
Text 2 Lovers was a very cute and funny story. Once I started this book, I could not put it down. I love K Webster's books!! I haven't read anything by J.D. Hollyfield yet, but after reading this, I definitely will now. These two ladies did a fantastic job with their first debut together. I NEED that second book NOW!!!
