We all have one.

  A price.

That magic number that will get us to agree to do anything, be anything.

Don’t sit on your gold-plated high horse and say you don’t because you do. Everyone does. Each of us has something we covet enough that we’d sell ourselves to have it.

What’s my tipping point, you ask? Apparently a cool quarter mil will do the trick.

What does one do for 250 large, you wonder? Anything the infamous, gorgeous playboy of Seattle wants. For the next four months I’ll be Shaw Mercer’s arm candy, his beck and call girl, his faux girlfriend. I’ll be his to command, mold, push and pull in any direction he sees fit.

I’ll fight falling into bed with him. I’ll fight falling in love with him even harder. I’ll fail at both. And when my past and present collide in the most unexpected of ways, I’ll learn that while one man’s love for me has never died, the only man’s love I really want will never be mine.

Review

Lost in Between is the first book I have read from K.L. Kreig, and I absolutely loved it!!  As having never read anything by her, I didn't know what to expect.  This book blew me away.  Her writing was fantastic.  The imagery was beautifully done.  I was able to picture everything the characters were seeing and the characters themselves.  I was able to feel the emotions that the characters were feeling and experience everything that they were going through.  Lost in Between was a fun, sexy and witty book all rolled into one.

I really loved Willow.  She has had a very tough life.  After what happened with her family, Willow pretty much has closed herself off to everyone.  Not her friends, but men.  Love.  She was hanging onto so much pain, regret and guilt, because she blamed herself. Willow had so many what if questions going on inside her head.   She works at a job she hates, because she has to be able to support herself and her mother as well. She is a very strong heroine though.  After everything Shaw through at her, she was still able to keep him at a distance for the most part.  Geesh!  He pulled no stops by the way. He already had me melting in a muddle so I had no clue how she was not doing that.

Shaw is all alpha male.  Sexy, intelligent and very intense.  He is a very successful man due to working nonstop.  He loves his job.  It is his passion.  He doesn't want any type of a commitment. He just wants to work.  All that changes during an accident.  Shaw meets Willow, known as Summer, and can't seem to get enough of her. So he made up a contract and Willow became his pretend girlfriend.  This fellow is so stubborn.  He did whatever he could to get Willow in bed, but she proved stronger than he imagined.

I loved Shaw and Willow together.  I could feel the tension between these two.  Especially the sexual tension!!!  Wow!!!  I needed a fan for this one.  The chemistry between these two characters was explosive.  The hot erotic scenes of them together were so hot.  Mind blowing hot. I needed to cool off after reading these. When Willow was around Shaw, she was very sassy.  Had a mouth on her. And that is what drew him to her. I loved their banter and nicknames for each other.  I also loved watching their relationship grow and develop.  I am not a fan at all of the insta-love.  Thank gosh this book didn't have that.  Yes, there was an immediate connection, but Willow was one tough cookie.  She fought it for as long as she could.  Both didn't want the relationship to be more.  Both didn't want that commitment.  But Willow and Shaw started to have feelings for each other.  And that changed everything.  Willow was supposed to be his pretend girlfriend, only now he wanted her to be his real one.

OMG!!!  I absolutely fell in love with Noah!! He was one of my favorite characters in this book.  I loved how loyal he was to Shaw and how protective he was over Willow after just meeting her.   I am really hoping Noah gets his own book!! Would really love to see more of him.

I must say that ending was completely epic. Talk about a shocker that left me completely flabbergasted!!  I did not see that one coming at all.  This could change so much for Shaw and Willow. They are gonna have a tough road ahead and a lot to work through if they want their relationship to work out.  It could be a huge deal breaker though.

Lost in Between blew me away!!!  I was so sad to see this book end, because honestly, I wanted more.  And let me tell you, that ending definitely left me wanting more.  May can't come soon enough!!!  That cliffhanger left me completely shell-shocked and breathless.  I need more now!!!  After reading this book, I will definitely be checking out K.L. Kreig's other books!! This is a definite MUST read!!!

Author Bio

As a USA Today Bestselling author, I write stories that are deeply emotional with flawed characters, because humans ARE flawed and if we read about perfect characters living in their perfect world, first of all, snoozer, but secondly, we never experience the gratification of redemption.
Outside of writing, I’m just a regular ol’ Midwest girl who likes Game of Thrones and am obsessed with Modern Family and The Goldbergs. I run, I eat, I run, I eat. It’s a vicous cycle. I love carbs, but there’s love-hate relationship with my ass and thighs. Mostly hate. I like a good cocktail (oh hell…who am I kidding? I love any cocktail). I’m a huge creature of habit, but I’ll tell you I’m flexible. I read every single day and if I don’t get a chance…watch the hell out. My iPad and me: BFFs. I’m direct and I make no apologies for it. I swear too much. I love alternative music and in my next life I want to be a bad-ass female rocker. I hate, hate, hate spiders, telemarketers, liver, acne, winter and loose hairs that fall down my shirt (don’t ask, it’s a thing).
