She can’t remember him.
He’ll never forget her.
When Robin Finch is abducted and tortured by an evil cybercriminal, her salvation comes in an unlikely hero, Dr. Ramsey Gunn. Gunn, a medical doctor and a computer genius, carried a long-festering secret love for Robin from afar, which placed her dead center on the enemy’s radar. Developing amnesia after enduring her captor’s sadistic torture and a blow to her head, Robin has no memory of her previous life. Dr. Gunn rescues Robin away from their captor and goes off the grid to keep her safe for years. But Dr. Ramsey Gunn may not be the savior he claims to be.
Upon his return from deployment, Navy SEAL Cooper Baron discovers his fiancé missing and presumed dead. Not believing she’s dead and hell-bent on discovering the truth about Robin’s disappearance, he will stop at nothing until she is back in his arms. Through the long years, searching for her in every woman’s face, he’s determined to locate the woman he lost. But finding Robin may put her in more danger than she’s ever faced before. Can Cooper’s love help her restore her memories without forcing her to confront the horrific reality of her abduction?
Once the reality is known, can their love survive the truth?

Wow! Hinged was completely unexpected. I haven't read a book from Char Sharp before so I didn't know what to expect. She did not disappoint at all. This book's blurb really captured my attention. I HAD to read this book, because I was instantly intrigued with the mystery of it. But, I also realized that Hinged is book two in the Soul Mate Rescued series. Yes, Hinged is a standalone in this series, but I still like to read the books in order. In case these characters did pop up in the first book. But overall, I still enjoyed it so much! I don't feel as if I missed anything from not reading the first book. The author did a fantastic job with the plot. The way Char Sharp weaved everything together and set up everything to unfold the way it did was absolutely brilliant.
Robin had a wonderful life with her fiance. She was on her way home to see him when the unexpected happens, and she disappears. Some believed she was dead while others never stopped looking. Seven years later, she is living a secret life with Ram. Always hiding and using different names. On that day in the store, she runs into a man whom she instantly has a connection with. She feels it down in her bones that she knows him, but it frightened her so she ran. Robin has no memories of she is or remembers anything about her past. She woke up and Ram was the only one there so she believed whatever he told her. Robin really didn't have a choice but to take his word. She has been living a whole other life without her fiance. So I understood her feelings when Cooper came back into her life. Confusion, heart ache, sadness. It was very hard to let one of these guys go, but her heart always belonged to her other half. What happened to Robin was truly tragic. It tore me to pieces once she remembered what happened beyond the door. Utterly devastating. Why was Robin drawn into this mess? Why does she have a target on her back now?
Cooper never forgot about the love of his life. He turned his life completely around to search for Robin. I felt sorry for Cooper. He was lonely and wouldn't allow himself to be close to another woman. He took what he needed from them to feel the void. Once he sees his little Bird again, he hunt her down. Didn't stop. But, Cooper had to come to some tough realizations. She didn't remember him, and she had a life with Ram. Slowly she remembers though. He tries to give her time to heal, but I don't think he gave her enough time. If someone suffered something as traumatic as what Robin went through, I felt as if Cooper should have given her time to heal and come to terms with everything. Robin was confused and hurting. I just felt as if they rushed back into everything too quickly. I tell you what though, he was one kick butt character. The way he fought those men, he would always be able to protect Robin. He never gave up on her and was there for her from the moment he found her.
Ram is my favorite character from this book!! He is a genius, a child prodigy. He is also one of the best hackers there is. And he loves working in the medical field. Ram is a very complex character. He is a man of many mysteries. He was more of a hero than a villain. What he did was selfish in a way, but I also understood why he did it. He wanted to protect her, but also he wanted to keep her for himself. He really did love her. I was constantly wondering if he was the good guy or the bad guy. Ram was a very intriguing character. I really felt sorry for him in the end though. After everything he did, all the sacrifices he made, he didn't get anything. No happy ending. He lost the one thing he loved and has loved for a long time. I am hoping to see more of him in the future.
This is one of those books that I was torn between the men. I know who she belonged with, but she seemed perfect for Ram as well. And I really liked Ram. I wish there was a lot more romance in this book between Robin and Cooper. I had trouble connecting with their relationship. It just didn't seem as if there was anything there at times and then everything was rushed. I would have loved to see them rekindle their feelings in a passionate and meaningful way.
Hinged was an enthralling read from start to finish. I did not want to put down this book once I started it. This book has everything in it. Love, romance, mystery, action, suspense, secrets and betrayals. I will definitely have to read the first book in this series now. Hinged took me an emotional journey with several twists and turns. I loved and adored the characters and I hope I see more of them. And Cooper's team is flat out awesome. I am hoping that those men get books of their own as well!
