Waiting on Wednesday #9: Dead Silence by Kimberly Derting

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine.  This meme lets us spotlight upcoming releases that we are eagerly waiting for.  Of course, I have a huge list to choose from.  The book I can't wait to get my hands on is:

Dead Silence (The Body Finder, #4)
Title: Dead Silence
Author: Kimberly Derting
Publisher:  HarperCollins
Publication: April 16th 2013
Pages: 336

Goodreads Synopsis

Violet thought she’d made peace with her unique ability to sense the echoes of the dead and the imprints that cling to their killers…that is until she acquired an imprint of her own. Forced to carry a reminder of the horrible events of her kidnapping, Violet is more determined than ever to lead a normal life. However, the people who run the special investigative team Violet works for have no intention of letting her go.

When someone close to Violet becomes a suspect in a horrific murder, she finds herself pulled into a deadly hunt for a madman with an army of devoted followers. Violet has survived dangerous situations before, but she quickly discovers that protecting those closest to her is far more difficult than protecting herself.

Why I'm Waiting: This is one of my favorite series.  I have read this series so many times that I know it by heart.  I love the love story behind Jay and Violet.  How they finally got together was so sweet and romantic that I have been rooting for their relationship the entire time.  They are one of my favorite book couples.  Then, of course, Rafe comes into the picture.  I don't want him to mess the relationship up Between Jay and Violet, but I have become to care about him too.  I want him to get his happy ending too. After losing his girlfriend, he hasn't felt that spark again until Violet came into the picture.  I get to see a different side of him when he is around her.  This is one of those types of books that I want both to end up with the girl.  The Last Echo left off with such a huge cliffhanger.  I had no idea that the story was going to turn in that direction.  I can't wait to see what happens in Dead Silence.  I am so sad that this is the last book to an AMAZING series.
