My Review
This book took me completely by surprise. This story had me laughing , crying, and at times, very mad. I get so involved with with the stories that I read, that I fall in love with the characters. When something happens to them bad or otherwise, I feel it with them. The Road That Leads To Home was beautifully written and well thought out. I loved that I could feel the raw emotion from this book. The story was short and very fast-paced. Once I started it, I couldn't put id down. I finished this story in one sitting, because it had captivated me from the very first page.
The ending of this story had me so mad and upset that I couldn't quit crying. I had to read it a few times to make sure I was reading it correctly, becasue I was in shock. I wasn't of course. I can understand what the author was trying to do, but it still tore me to pieces. This book was about family and loss. I highly recommend this book to everyone. Loved it!!!
Excerpt:
Taking a deep breath she said, “I decided last night
after talking to Becca. I wanted to sleep on it to be sure that it was what I
wanted, and it is. I haven’t contacted anyone in Florida about this yet, but I
will. As for my stuff, I will have to go back and sort through it to see what
I’ll be able to keep and what I’ll wind up getting rid of. I’ll go back some
time after Dad gets home so you’ll at least have Mom to help out.”
“If I need to do some
extra work to help out while she’s away I won’t mind.” James said to Becca
before turning his attention back to Sara. “I have one more question for you if
you don’t mind.”
“Sure. Shoot.” “Will
you marry me?
