Review

Stone of Destiny is a fast-paced story that picked up right where The Forgotten Ones ended.  I was very happy that I was immediately able to start this book right after.  Laura did a fantastic job with the world-building.  The descriptions of Tir na n'Og made it very easy to visualize what it looked like.  The feelings they felt, I was able to feel those too.  I really felt for the characters in this book.  I am a huge romance junkie!!!!  There was some romance in there, but of course I am hoping for more.  I love how this series is original.  I haven't read another series like it so it gets huge bonus points from me there.

Allison is still on the quest of finding Aoife in hopes of getting the amulet to release the spell preventing Liam from touching Elizabeth. She really finds out how evil Aoife is.  Aoife has come up with a plan in order to make Liam hers.  She will stop at nothing to get what she wants and all she wants is him.  Ethan becomes very protective of Allison so he joins her on this mission.

I adored Allison in this book.  She really cares about everyone around her.  I love how her relationship is building with Liam.  They start to care for each other.  I want to see a little more growth with them though.  At times, it doesn't feel real, their relationship.  Something is missing.  I love how her and Ethan start getting closer as well.  I hope to see more or their relationship grow on a deeper level.  I adored her sister Samantha.  I couldn't figure out whether she was good or bad.  I loved the fact that it had me second guessing myself.  Aodhan is one of my favorite characters in this series.  I love the relationship he has formed with Allison.  After all that he has lost, he tries with all his might to make sure that doesn't happen to her.  He seems very protective of her as well.  I am still waiting to see what happens with Aodhan and Niamh.

Stone of Destiny was a fantastic sequel, and I can't wait to see what happens next.  That ending, or I should say cliffhanger, definitely left me wanting more.   I am still waiting on a wow moment though.  This book is a great read filled with action, romance, mystery and suspense. There are so many twists and turns in this book that I was second guessing everything that I thought I had figured out.  It will definitely keep you on your toes.  This is a book that I recommend everyone to read!!!  Each book gets better and better!!!!
