My Review

I want to first point out that I love the cover of this book!!!  Very beautiful!!!  Gravely Inanimated is an enthralling story that immediately captured my attention after the very first page.  The story was full of action, mystery and romance.  What I loved about this book was its uniqueness and originality.  I have read a lot of zombie books, but I haven't read one like this.  I also loved how Esther incorporated steampunk in this novel.  The characters were well developed and had depth.  I love it when characters are faced with tough obstacles but overcome them and grow from the experiences.  That happens with these characters especially Lucy.  She has to completely change and become a different person.  A person who kills zombies.  I loved that!!!

Gravely Inanimated had so many  twists and turns that I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.  I was so captivated with this story that I read it in one sitting.  There were some very sad moments in this story that left me in tears.  The ending definitely left me wanting more.  I can't wait to see where Esther takes these characters next and what trials and tribulations they face.  Lucy is also torn between two men so can't wait to see how that ends.  This was a great debut novel!!!  It is a book that I will definitely reread.

Author Bio:
Her name is Esther Wheelmaker and she is the author of the new, Zombiepunk Series.
With Gravely Inanimated (book one) coming to life, she is pounding away on her typewriter to try and get book two out. However, she is easily distracted by sparkly things.
Her background is a mystery and all anyone knows is she loves hugs, corsets, steampunk, books and Mozart….
…Let's face it…Everyone likes a girl with a little mystery.
