Deadly Kisses by Kerri Cuevas
Publication: March 5th 2013
Genre: YA Paranormal Romance
Synopsis
Aiden Grant has a killer kiss.  Literally. And it’s not every reaper who gets to work with the Sixteenth President. Sure, Honest Abe likes to throw out history lessons with reaping assignments, but when you’re favored by the ancients, grim reaper life is pretty sweet for a newly dead seventeen-year-old.

Then things get messy.

Aiden is assigned to reap the soul of Bee, the only girl he has ever loved. When Aiden’s kiss of death fails, intertwining their souls, she is still very much alive and they are both in trouble. The ancients want Bee, who has special powers of her own, and they’ll do anything to get her.

Some rules are meant to be broken, even if that means Aiden must bargain with his own soul to save Bee. Who knew the afterlife could get so complicated?

My Review
I want to first say how much I love the cover on this book.  It is absolutely gorgeous.  I am one of those people that buy the books and read them based on their covers.  Most of the time anyway.  Deadly Kisses was an enthralling story that had me hooked after the very first page.  Once I started this book, I couldn't put it down.  I really came to adore the character in this story so I had to know what happened with them.  The story was beautifully written and well thought out.  Liz's writing style was very descriptive.  I was able to picture everything going on in the story and most of the time, I felt as if I was there.  I was also able to feel the emotions that the characters possessed.
I adored the characters in this book.  Aiden died and then became a grim reaper.  He has many regrets and throughout the journey, he battles himself.  He is asked to reap Bee, the one girl he truly loves.  Hoe can he take the life of the one girl he has ever loved?  That would be very hard to do.  I was able to feel the turmoil with him.  I loved how he tried to keep her safe even though she had no clue how he felt about her.  Keeping her safe is a challenge though.  The other reapers want Bee becasue of the powers she possesses.  I loved Bee as a character.  She really grew on me by the end of the book.  The secondary characters were great as well. Like I said, I pretty much adored every character in this book.
Deadly Kisses is a riveting story that shows what one will do to protect those they love.  This story had so many twists and turns that I was kept on the edge of my seat the entire time.  I was left breathless and shell shocked throughout the story.  The plot was amazing and unfolded perfectly.  I loved it!!!  I can't wait to see what trials and tribulations these characters face next.  I am guessing there is a sequel based on how the book ended.  I hope so anyway.  Deadly Kisses is a book I highly recommend!!!  It is a MUST read everyone!!!!
