My Review
I am always scared to read sequels, because a lot of times they are just not as good as the first book. Focus did not disappoint me at all. It was just as good as Flight!!! I read Focus in one sitting. because I was enthralled after the very first page. I love Focus as much as I love Flight. I love seeing characters grow and develop throughout the series, and the character development in this series is spot on. I also got to learn a little more more about paranormal society and what i expected of Levi as their prince.
Allie still hasn't forgiven Levi for what he done to her. She really makes him work for it, but the good thing about Levi is, he doesn't give up. He is head over heels in love for her and he would do anything for her. After a while she finally agrees to give it a shot as long as they go slow. I am glad she didn't just give in to him. He deserved to work for it. What he did was wrong yet very romantic in a way. I got a little aggravated though, becasue it just took so long for her to finally give it a shot. I loved seeing her take an active role in learning what is expected of her as a princess. That is right. Levi is a prince and he chose Allie as his princess.
Levi is just as wonderful as he was in the first book. He always seems to leave me asking questions. He is very protect and possessive over Allie even though they aren't together. Even though they start off pretending to be together to not cause a war, he knows deep down that she will come back to him. He doesn't give up and that is what I love about him. Levi doens't seem to learn in this book though. He is still keeping secrets from Allie. I think he is really just scared that she will go running for the hills like last time.
Owen, Jared and Hailey are great secondary characters. I got to learn a lot more about these three characters in this book. I am hoping they all get their happy endings as well. They are great friends to Allie and Levi. They would do anything for them.
Focus kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. There were so many twists and turns in this book that it left me speechless. The cliffhanger left at the end of this book is killing me!!!! I am in total shock. I knew something was going to happen, but I didn't expect that. I need the third book, Found, now!!!!!! Great job Alyssa!!!! This series is a must read everyone!!!!
