  Synopsis

Unknowingly cast as the bachelorette for her town’s charity event, Taycee Emerson wants out. Especially when she discovers her old teenage crush, Luke Carney, is one of the bachelors and it's up to the viewers--not her--to decide which bachelors stay or go.

Coerced into participating, Taycee does what any self-preserving girl would do. She launches a subtle attack on Luke’s good name with the hope of getting him voted off the show. Unfortunately, Luke's an eye-for-an-eye kind of guy, and when he discovers what she's up to, it means revenge.

But when their pranks go south, will they screw up any chance they have at a future together, or will they be able to forgive and forget and prove that love really does conquer all?

My Review

Taycee lives in a small town called Shelter Springs, and owns a flower shop called The Bloom Boutique.  She has lived there her whole life and doesn't plan on leaving.  The town is having huge trouble selling their crops due to commercial farms.  Of course Taycee's best friend, Jessa comes up with a great idea to raise money to help the farmers out.  She created a show called Shelter's Bachelorette.  Taycee immediately nominates Luke not knowing she is the bachelorette. She becomes very worried that he would do something to embarrass her and make her miserable.  Since the viewers get to select the guys, she does whatever she can to get him voted off.  Once Luke is voted off and gets even, do feelings start forming between them.  And that is where more trouble begins.  Will participating in this show have good consequences or bad consequences for everyone?

I can't put into words how much I loved this book.  I give 5 stars to books that I will definitely be rereading, and this is one of them.  Once I started the first chapter, I was immediately hooked in.  I didn't want to put the book down.  I had to know what was going to happen. It just blew me away.  The author created a story in which I was able to relate with the characters.  They seemed so real.  I felt everything they were feeling. Pain, love, betrayal.  It was all there.  Since the story switches POVs,  I was right there with Luke waiting for the old Taycee to come back.  Through each chapter, I got to see her come out of her shell.  It was  very intense.   The pranks Taycee and Luke though at each other were hilarious, but sweet at the same time.  Watching them battle through the obstacles is what made it wonderful. I was rooting for the two of them the entire time.  I loved her brother Caleb.  It was always the three of them.   He had a secret of his own, and when the truth came out, it really hurt Taycee.  I was crying too.  Family has always been the most important thing to me so I knew how she felt.  The two bachelors, Jake and Miles, were my favorite.  The way they supported her at the end really showed me what great guys they were.  I really felt bad for them.

This was a great story!!  I recommend it to anyone wanting a story full of romance and laughter.  I watched the TV shows myself so I really, really loved it!!!
