My Review

This book was simply FANTASTIC!!!!!  Words can't express how much I enjoyed this book.  The fact that it was unique and original gave it huge bonus points from me.  I haven't read another book like it so I was immediately captivated after the very first page.  I was shocked at how quickly it reeled me in.  The story was full of mystery, adventure, romance and had a lot of action.  There were so many twists and turns in this book that I was shocked and surprised so many times.  It kept me on the edge on my seat the entire time.  The story was beautifully written.  I really felt everything the characters felt.  Catherine did a great job with this book!!!

Adie's nightmares are death.  She sees a murder before it happens, but she doesn't do anything about it.  She is scared and common sense tells her, no one would believe.her.  She goes to school and plays soccer.  She is so good that she is getting a scholarship for it.  One day, she falls asleep in glass and sees the death the captain. She ignores the paper,s news, everything for two weeks hoping not to see or hear anything about it.  Jeff has been watching her for a while to see if she was ready.  He recruits people like her.  When he takes her to the IPA, her whole life changes.  She finally accepts that maybe she can do something about these murders.  Adie's partner Dannika is considered strange and different, but a strong bond forms between these two girls.  They start having nightmares about the same case which shocks everyone.  While trying to solve this case, Adie and Dannika start realizing that the agency has secrets.  Someone is leaking information and betraying all of them. Will these two girls be able to solve the serial case and find out who is betraying them?  What new secrets will Adie find out about her dreams?  You all will have to read the book to find out.

Character development is really important to me in stories.  I love being able to watch characters grow and become stronger.  Catherine did a great job with this aspect of the book.  Adie completely changed by the end of the story.  I loved how she finally took charge and put her two cents in.  They even wanted her opinion.  I loved all the characters in this book.  Well, the good guys anyway.  Each of them really grew on me.  Characters are what make a story magical and fun to read.  I was able to relate to the characters in this story.

I loved Adie.  She was a great heroine. Finally seeing her accomplish what she was suppose to accomplish with her dreams was awesome.  She learns a lot about herself as the story goes on.  She even realizes that her dreams may be different.  I loved her relationship with Jeff.  Even though they were not aloud to be together, there were a few sweet kisses her and there.  I loved watching their relationship grow throughout the book.  Adie has some type of feelings for Witt though.  I haven't figured out what yet.  That my turn into a love triangle in the next book.  Who could not love Bain.  I would marry that man in a heart beat.  I loved seeing a strong, muscular man's soft side.  Dannika was a fun character.  No one understood her but Adie.  That is why they grew so close together and and became best friends.  I adored their friendship.

The ending was a shocker!!!  I so did not want that to happen.  But like everyone said, this might be Dannika's right path.  Talk about a huge cliffhanger.  It sure left me wanting more.  I can't wait to read the sequel, Fade to Silver!!!!  I need this book NOW!!!!  I recommend this book to everyone who wants a GREAT book to read!!!

  1. Seriously wishing I had signed up for the review option on this tour :) The more I hear about the book, the more intrigued I am. Too bad I hadn't heard of it sooner, could have had it proposed for the Teen Book Club at our local library, but they are making their 2013 Reading Choices today. Maybe we can propose this for 2014.
