When you're lost, sometimes the only place you can go is home.

Expecting to lay low until she can figure out what else to do with her life, she finds herself in the arms of her high school sweetheart, the boy who represents everything from the past she tried to leave behind.

Looking for an escape, she instead finds a way back to the girl she almost forgot existed and a future she never dreamed possible.

Review:

After the tragic death of her fiancé, Adam, Molly decides to drop out of law school and return to her hometown in North Carolina.  She hopes against all hope that she doesn't run into her ex-boyfriend, Ben, who never let her go.  Of course, that doesn't happen.  He just so happens to show up at Mamey's cafe where she works.  She decides to go listen to his band the next day. Feelings that she thought were long forgotten show up again.   As Jake put it, it took less that 48 hours for them to get together again.  Not as boyfriend and girlfriend though.  Molly wanted just a casual relationship, and Ben wanted her anyway he could get her.  By being home, will Molly find what she is looking for?

I really, really liked this book.  The author made the story so realistic.  I felt everything that Molly felt. The pain and guilt that Molly held thinking she had some part in Adam' s and her father's death was very sad.  Molly couldn't let it go.  I was able to relate to  Molly in that way.  I would have blamed myself too if I were in her shoes.  I was there right along with her as she told her story.  That guilt and pain changed her, but by going home and finding light again, she found a way to live with it.  At some point, she did let some of it go away.  Molly had Ben's love and support and that is what she needed.  I was rooting for those two the entire time.

I only gave it four stars, because some of the romance seemed rushed.  Ben was destroyed after they broke up.  Not even 48 hours of being back in town,  they decided to have a casual relationship.  If he was that hurt, I figured there would be some type of tension between the two or both of them being hesitant around each other.   Nothing like that happened.  I wanted to see and feel their relationship grow and develop.
